What, when, and why

I've been asked why I take so many "pills".  The "pills" are supplements.  Why do I take them?  Because, and I'll be honest, I don't eat according to the food pyramid guide, I'm unable to always breathe clean air, and basically I'm not perfect.  So I need to supplement my diet with a high end line of natural products.

What do I take?  Well a good foundation consists of; multi-vitamin, B complex, vitamin C, vitamin E, and a supplement with calcium/magnesium/vitamin D.  Because I want to offset the affects of stress, I also take an immune builder.  Then because I am a woman and in menopause I take a supplement that has black cohosh, dong quai, flax seed and additional ingredients which prevent hot flashes and lack of sleep.  Also, I have acid reflux and I take a probiotic, enzymes and alfalfa.  In the morning I take my supplements with a soy protein that is non-GMO.

When do I take my supplements?  Various times of the day. 

I've built up to this regiment.  Yes you may be saying WOW that's a lot!  Maybe.  But I'll tell you that I am not the norm.  Most women my age have had severe female problems, lack of energy, and severe mood swings.  Not me.  Oh and what I take has side benefits.

So call me weird.  I'll take that as a compliment.
