Liquid Truth: Myths About Hydration

A trainer recently said that her students should only drink water during their power skating lesson.  I don't necessarily agree with this statement. 

According to the Mayo Clinic, there should be a combination of  water and sports drinks.  It is imperative to immediately start replacing electrolytes, potassium, and sodium levels in your body after sweating them out during physical activity.  In addition to preventing dehydration, these ingredients will prevent injury.
